Two updates shipping this week. Both are live now in every store.
1. Abandoned cart recovery
About 70% of customers who add a product to your cart will leave without paying. That number is consistent across every kind of store — sarees, momos, electronics, jewelry. The reasons are the same as everywhere: a phone notification, a slow connection, a moment of "I'll come back later" that turns into never.
We are now automatically following up with those customers over WhatsApp, with a single message about 25 minutes after they abandon:
"Namaste {name}, you left {product} in your cart at {store}. 10% off if you complete in 30 min: {link}"
You configure the message text, the discount amount, and the timing in Settings → Marketing → Abandoned carts. Every recovered order shows up tagged in your analytics so you can see exactly how much it added.
Stores running this for the first month have recovered between 8% and 18% of abandoned carts. Stores where the founder is also the WhatsApp Business owner see the highest recovery rate, because customers recognize the name.
Available on Premium today; Basic merchants can enable it on their 14-day Premium trial to test before deciding.
2. Custom domains for Basic
Until today, custom domains required Premium (NPR 2,000/mo). Starting today, Basic plan (NPR 600/mo) includes custom domains too.
Why we made this change: the most common reason a Basic merchant upgraded to Premium was the domain, not the features. We were watching merchants pay 3× their plan price just to get yourstore.com working — which felt like the wrong incentive on both sides.
If you're already on Basic, you don't need to do anything — your existing domain settings just work. If you're on Free and considering a paid plan, Basic is now the cheapest path to a real branded URL.
What this changes about pricing
Premium continues to be the right plan for any store doing more than NPR 100,000/month in sales, because the 1% commission alone saves more than the price difference. But for newer stores or stores running on tighter margins, Basic at NPR 600/mo with a custom domain is the new starting point.
You can change your plan any time from Settings → Billing. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal — no clawback, no penalty.
What's coming next
Two more changes shipping in the next two weeks:
- Bulk product import from CSV (already works for new stores; we're adding it to existing ones)
- Multi-language storefronts — Nepali, English, and Hindi side-by-side, customer picks at checkout
We'll send a separate update when each lands.
